Request format

POST a JSON body. The request field is required — an empty one is rejected before any payment is accepted, so you can never pay by mistake.

The payment flow — verify → settle → refund

1 · Verify

The node checks the payment proof against the real chain: a mined agent_invoke (AMAN) or the Coinbase facilitator's verification (USDC on Base). No database rows — money first becomes consensus fact.

2 · Settle

On success the settlement receipt rides the 200 response (PAYMENT-RESPONSE header + receipt body) and is recorded in the ledger — provable forever via the explorer.

3 · Refund (if execution fails)

If the node accepted the payment but the execution fails, it signs an automatic on-chain refund of the exact price, mined within seconds and recorded with the receipt (no double-refunds). Agent money is never stuck.
